A ball entering the non-volley zone or the Kitchen is called “serve out.” You can hit anywhere on the centerline, sideline, or baseline as it will be considered as “serve in.” Hence, this is a basic rule that should be kept in mind if you serve.

2. Players Are Held Responsible For Calling Lines

The players on the court are held responsible for calling pickleball lines when standing on their side. All the players in the game have the right to review the decision or get a second opinion. The referee gives a second opinion to know if the ball is out or would get accepted.

The second and most important thing that can help you win points is to monitor the position of your hands. Keeping the hand below the waist area is mandatory when hitting the stroke. The arm must move upwards so that you move the ball out of the air. Some players drop the ball onto the court and hit it when it rises to their waist.

3. Serve Continues Until A Fault

If either team is serving, it continues until a fault is committed. The service is changed from one team to another after a fault. Most of the time, a serving player commits three types of faults. He might hit the ball into the pickleball net, or it might go beyond the baseline. Lastly, there are chances that the ball lands in the non-volley zone or the Kitchen area. This will help you do the best exercise before the match to get the best possible performance. Effective Stretches & Warm-Up Exercises For Pickleball

The following 4 are the most reliable pickleball warm-up stretches and warmup exercises that you can perform before starting the game and can decrease the chances of getting soreness in the muscles or injury after the game. There are several exercises, from balance exercises for pickleball to dynamic stretching to pickleball warmup drills, but I will talk specifically about four basic ones.

1. Wrist And Ankle Circles – Leg Warmups

Since pickleball is a game of movements of arms and legs, you have to pay special attention to activating wrist and ankle muscles before starting the game. Before starting the match, you must perform proper wrist and ankle circles to avoid any ankle or wrist injury.

Rotate them clockwise and counterclockwise by setting a specific number of rotations. This means if you rotate your wrist five times clockwise, wait for 5 seconds, and rotate five times in an anticlockwise direction. Do the same with your foot.

Rotate the ankle five times in the clockwise direction, wait for 5 seconds, and then rotate the anticlockwise five times. They activate the muscles of your wrist and ankle, making them fresh and ready for the pickleball game.

2. Arm Circles

Doing arm circles is another important physical warmup exercise before starting the pickleball game. This is the easiest pickleball elbow exercise but the most effective. What you have to do is to hold your arms to the sides of your body.

Please stay in the same position for 2 to 3 seconds, then move them in small circles. Make sure the circles you are making are moving in the right direction. Slightly increase the speed and size of the circles until you are easy with your arm. Do it continuously for 30 seconds, stop, and then restart. Do the same in the backward position.

3. Jogging

Jogging is one of the best and most effective types of warmup exercise to increase your body’s mobility and flexibility. Although it is a basic warmup exercise, doing a few rounds across the court makes a great difference. They increase your blood circulation and make it easier to enhance your body’s blood flow.

Start with jogging first and then add a couple of movements, like a back-kick, as we advance and go backward, speeding up the movement. Ensure you are not flipping over your feet and not jogging inconsistently. Make sure to start jogging slowly and then increase the speed at the start, similarly decreasing your speed at the end and then stopping at the end.

4. Hamstring Kicks

Always remember that if proper touching is impossible, go as far as possible without forceful movement or strenuous physical effort.
