Pickleball Paddle Specs Database: 69 Paddles Compared On Published Specs

Pickleball Paddle Specs Database: 69 Paddles Compared On Published Specs

This database pulls together the published specifications for 69 pickleball paddles we have reviewed or included in our roundups. Every number comes from the manufacturer, collected from the spec box in each paddle’s review. Nothing here was measured in a lab.

Search by name, narrow the list by core thickness or approval status, and click the Core or Weight headings to sort. When two paddles catch your eye, the compare tool below lines their full published specs up side by side.

How To Read These Specs

Core thickness. This is the single best shortcut for feel. Cores of 16 mm and thicker mute pace and help blocks drop softly. Cores of 13 mm and under feel firmer and livelier, while 14 mm sits in the middle for most players.

Weight. Weight shapes how a paddle swings and how your arm feels after a long session. Most published averages land between 7.5 and 8.5 ounces. Lighter paddles react faster at the net; heavier ones add plow-through on drives and steadiness in wind.

Grip size. Grip circumference decides comfort more than almost anything else. Smaller hands usually settle near 4 inches, larger hands closer to 4 3/8 inches. Grip length matters for two-handed backhands, which need room for the second hand on the handle.

Where These Specs Come From

Every figure in this database is a manufacturer-published specification, gathered from the spec boxes in our own reviews and roundups. Data collected November 2026.

Where a brand has not published a figure, the table says so in the brand’s own wording instead of filling the gap with an estimate. Brands also revise paddles, so confirm the final numbers on the brand’s product page before buying.

Still narrowing it down? The Paddle Finder matches paddles to your level and style, and our best pickleball paddles roundup ranks the strongest current lineups with full buying advice.

For the physics behind the numbers, the swingweight guide explains why two paddles of equal weight can feel completely different in hand.

Three reader favorites from this database have full reviews: the JOOLA Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16, the Selkirk Amped and the ONIX Graphite Z5.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the specs in this database come from?

Every figure comes from the manufacturer. We collected the published specs from the spec boxes in our own reviews and roundups in November 2026. We did not measure any paddle in a lab, and we never estimate a number a brand has not published.

What does core thickness do to how a paddle plays?

Thicker cores, usually 16 mm and up, absorb more pace and feel softer on blocks and resets. Thinner cores around 11 to 13 mm return more energy, so drives and counters feel livelier but less forgiving.

Why do some paddles show “Not published” for a spec?

Some brands simply never release a figure, most often core thickness or grip size. We print the brand’s own wording instead of guessing, so a gap in the table means the manufacturer has not shared that number publicly.

How do I compare two paddles side by side?

Use the two dropdowns in the compare section and pick any two paddles. The tool lines up face material, core, thickness, weight, both grip numbers, shape and approval status, using the same published figures shown in the main table.

Is every paddle in this database USA Pickleball approved?

No. Most are approved, but a few are not: the Onix Recruit paddles are absent from the approved list, and the ProKennex Ace Pro was delisted on July 1, 2025. Use the approval filter, then confirm on the official list before tournament play.

How current is this data?

We collected these specs in November 2026. Brands revise paddles and quietly change published figures, so treat this database as a comparison shortcut, then confirm the final numbers on the brand’s own product page before you buy.
